WEEKLY UPDATE 2

i just recently bought plane (plain) tickets for the end of the quarter and i thought yesterday "i could go home two days earlier if i took my american politics final on wednesday." it was a lot better sounding when i thought that we didn't have a american politics final, and that i could leave on thursday morning anyway.

i wouldn't mind staying here until friday much anyway. that would be basically two days of nice quiet time, and i could read and stuff, you know, the stuff i wouldn't get done here during school or home, any time. but we'll see when i come home tomorrow.

in recent news, i've been elected vice president of the floor, and i have a project due on sunday, we'll see how that all turns out. i'm not very sure what a vice president does, i both wish he did a lot, and did nothing, but you all know how that is. lately i've been a bit disaffected with school, not really wanted to go to classes, also, not having a favorite class, kinda like i really want a break, that kind of thing.

it's mainly a state of mind thing, and my state of mind is telling me that i need to sleeep sleeeeeeeep sleeeeeeeeep and just not do things, but i'll do them anyway.

i've started drinking strawberry milk. mainly because it was $.89 at the corner store, which is cheaper than any other drink vending machine or otherwise at rit.

this has been a shallow post, with a shallow ending.

I REMEMBER THIS OLD SHOE

this is part of a mandate to write weekly, lets see how that goes.

i wear glasses now, that's the biggest change since college began. right now i'm looking for a few songs. over the winter break i heard queens of the stone age on need for speed underground 2, which i liked, but it isn't on the DC hub yet. i'm also just passively looking for an amelie track, but it seems that it'll be one of the two/twenty songs that i don't have. and as luck would have it i just checked on cdnow, got a preview, and it is. i love the sound of accordians. polish heritage? maybe.

in college i've found you're almost always hungry. right now i feel kinda grimy, also, my plant of ivy doesn't seen to be faring all that well. maybe i've had it in too indirect sunlight, i'll duct tape it to my bedpost soon. my digital camera isn't really working so much, so well.

also recently i've been more and more worried about death. this is probably because i'm agnostic. according to charles seife in alpha & omega: the search for the beginning and the end of the universe, the universe will eventually begin to cool and shrink in on itself, and even if lead scientists are wrong there, the stars eventually will all burn out. my first thought: so humanity is screwed. second thought: so everything was for nothing. third thought: humanity (or rather, humans) will use a different power source, one that's not dependant on the sun.

i try not to think of that so much, it's depressing, and there's nothing i can do about it. and yes, that is a classicist point of view.

last monday, i believe taht was the day, i was walking to class behind this guy, and i noticed he had this gigantic hole in the back of his pant leg a bit below his knee. i kept looking and realized that the guy infront of me in fact had no leg. the hole was made by the moving parts of his prosthetic (metal) leg. it was about then that i noticed that he walked with a totally natural gait. food for thought.

adam wrzeski and i just had a conversation about chicken selects, it was just humerous.

that conversation kinda knocked me out of my introspective mood, i'll get back to this when i get back to thinking.
