TRUCK HOSPITAL: XC THINGY

Deet R003: so, walts put new nice ceramic headers on the truck
Deet R003: totally burly
Deet R003: like a manly man's truck now
DJ Freaq: lol
DJ Freaq: ceramic eh?
DJ Freaq: nice
Deet R003: yeah, but here's the thing
Deet R003: it was kinda a rush job, because i needed it back yesterday so i could leave today
Deet R003: and we pull off in moses lake to refuel
Deet R003: and when we stop at this light, the truck just stalls
DJ Freaq: shit
Deet R003: so this happened last night when i pulled in the driveway'
Deet R003: and cause it was all weak when we were trying to start it i figure battery is for some reason low
Deet R003: so i just throw some jumper cables and i starts up
Deet R003: so i do the same thing this time, but ti's still all weak
Deet R003: but it starts
DJ Freaq: hmm
Deet R003: okay, wtf i say
DJ Freaq: that's a problem on a xc trip
DJ Freaq: lol
Deet R003: okay, so we get to spokane and we're at a light and it stalls again
Deet R003: fuck
Deet R003: but my dad had this idea
Deet R003: that the timing was off on the distributor cap
DJ Freaq: :P poopy timing
Deet R003: and i'm thinking "but chiltons said you can't adjust the timing on a fuel injected ford"
Deet R003: well, walts in their haste apparently, didn't even bolt down the distributor
Deet R003: so the rotor is spinning at all the right times
Deet R003: but the distributor is like a fuckin' top

I'VE LOST MY ROOTS

i realized tonight after seeing the manchurian candidate (good movie, maybe a little politically thick) that i've completely lost my roots socially. for the past couple years, i've tried to appear older or more mature or whatever by hanging out with the older crowd. this isn't a bad thing, but it is bad when i leave my own crowd completely.

in kindergarten and first grade i lived in virginia beach, and my best friend was a boy two grades older than me, but he was my neighbor. his name was jonathan purdy. we played boggle once, threw sand at passing cars and he gave me a whistle once. we were supposed to hang out the day that we moved out of my virginia beach house, but as soon as i got off the bus i left for washington.

through the first to third grades by best friend was travis clark. he helped me out during my first days at purdy elementary. we would swing on the swings, pretending we were different fighter planes, and when we had to get off, we devised a faster way to count to one hundred so we could get back on the swings quicker. we'd hang out at his house and pretend we were soldiers, make a base, at night we'd play with toy planes and a toy aircraft carrier enacting dogfights that never happened.

in the first half of the fourth grade my best friend was grant baker. while my parents were out of town once i stayed with him for a couple days. he was my friend for quite a few more years, but not my best friend. we played the original diablo with the hacks on, and he got me to start skateboarding, for a week or so. i made a jump in the court the first day i got my 70's skateboard, called him up, asked him what do to, and then put him on hold while i tried to go off the jump (now known as a kicker). i went up it, and as soon as i got over the edge the board flew out under me. after collecting myself i got my board and went back inside and told grant, "well that didn't work. now what?"

brad fulfer is my best friend of all time. however, i'll always feel guity about the first day he came to school in fourth grade. i was to show him around and when recess came around i wanted to go hang out with grant, or play football or something, but i quickly showed him around and then told him to have fun as i ran off. later in that grade daniel jones grant baker brad fulfer and i would have arguements about who in a real life situation would in the universe, star wars or star trek. we tried to enact this using ccg's (customizable card games) from each universe (more on daniel jones later). in middle school brad and i would have lunch together, talk about command and conquer red alert the game, and tesla coils, play bolo in the computer labs (when we were able to) and try and spend the night at eachother's house. we were both in the band (though never in the same class until 8th grade) and played ensambles for the solo and ensamble contest each year. during middle school cartoon network aired dragonball z around five o'clock, brad and i would call eachother up when it started and talk to eachother while watching it. brad would later leave washington halfway through 10th grade. it was the first time i had openly cried in quite some time.

daniel jones is an amazing kid (kid? man? boy?). there are no words that describe him. he started a small business to make forged FBI badges, started the Peninsula High School Cricket Club, he's just a very very very very strange kid who words cannot describe. he is a master of the fields he wants to be.

mike mccourt i met through cari sherman, kind of. mike was the guy who loved to have around. i don't have a lot of retrospect here.

keegan burmark, alex fordyce, joe tobiason and reid burmark are a clan of my friends who were really always there. they're all friendly, all played soccer, all on the top teir of the class academically. they're the people i need to stay in touch with especially.

i'm drained, i was drained a while ago, i'll gush more later/never
